Q: How long will it take to set up my D9 Hosting Account after I order?
A: We manually approve all accounts to prevent fraudulent orders from spammers. All accounts are usually verified and approved within 1 - 4 hours.
Q: Why can't I register a .co.uk domain name on this site?
A: .co.uk domains names may be purchased on our UK site - www.d9hosting.co.uk either with a hosting package or separately.
Q: How many domains can I host on the 1 account, is it really unlimited?
A: Yes! Unlimited means just that, you can host as many domains as you like on a single D9 Hosting account. The only restriction is that you don't go over your allotted disk space allowance.
Q: What happens if I use up all of my disk space/bandwidth, do I need to open a new account?
A: No, if you require any more disk space or bandwidth simply submit a support ticket to our sales team, they will then be able to increase your disk space and bandwidth limits on your accounts. (*There will be a nominal fee charged for increased disk space/bandwidth)
Q: What sort of control panel do you use?
A: With all our accounts you will receive your own personal "cPanel" control panel. The cPanel is the most widely used hosting control panel and comes with a number of different skins. You can find out more information on the D9 Hosting control panel by clicking here.
Q: Where is the physical location of your servers?
A: We run all servers out of the NAP datacenter in Atlanta, USA. The geographical location allows us to host websites with fast response/loading times, no matter whereabouts in the world the visitor is loading the website from.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: You can purchase out hosting from either PayPal or 2Checkout. We do not collect, retain or have any access whatsoever to your credit/debit card details, your PayPal login details nor any other sensitive financial details. 2Checkout.com, Inc. is an authorized retailer of goods and services provided by D9 Hosting.
Q: Who are you and how did you get started?
A: D9 Hosting was set up in 2007 by Dan Thompson and Paula Brett. Both based in the UK, Dan and Paula have been working online as individuals and business partners for a number of years.
Dan comes from a farming background and has been working as a web designer since the late 1990's. A well established internet marketer and software developer, Dan is the author of several eBooks. He also runs a number of successful websites and maintains a loyal following with his weekly blog.
Paula trained and worked as an actress for a number of years before `retiring' to stay at home with her two young children. During this time she has become a well respected expert in the web design and marketing field, runs several websites, authors her own eBooks and helps many website beginners get their projects `up and running'.
In early 2007 Dan and Paula agreed that they were frustrated and tired of dealing with unreliable hosting companies that offered unacceptable downtime and slow, unprofessional support and decided to do something about it. After extensive research and market testing, they launched D9 Hosting in the Spring of 2007.
